His main ‘claim for fame’ is 6 years as CEO of award winning baggage handling company Glidepath – leading them through a period of major change and unprecedented growth and team development ; significant capability development; expansion into new export markets, and a series of major international projects.

During Neil’s tenure, Glidepath was awarded numerous business awards including 4 Trade New Zealand commendations and the 2002 Engineering Exporter of the Year. Concurrently, Neil was active as Vice Chairman of the New Zealand – Latin America Business Council, and as a board member for “AREDS” – a Government initiative to strategically review and facilitate initiatives for Auckland Regional development.

Previously, Neil spent 5 years as a lead Business Development Manager at Trade New Zealand (“Tradenz”); 3 years as Commercial Manager within the Cable Price Downer group; and 11 years in various commercial roles within the giant GEC-Marconi conglomerate in England. His experience is truly broad and international.

Having grown, matured and developed his own style and blue print for success under the wing of significant international players, Neil ‘stepped out’ in 2009 to set up his business coaching  and consulting practice – “Globalise” –  working with many SME business owners and their teams to ignite and deliver growth.

Neil is currently a mentor for member companies of Export New Zealand, and is a judge for their Export Awards program.
